Once a boy went to a shop with his mother.

As the shop keeper looked at the child, he was smitten by child’s cuteness. He showed a bottle with sweets to the child and said “Son, u can take as many sweets as you like.”

But much to his surprise, the child didn’t take any.

The shop keeper wondered, as to why child is he not taking the sweets from the bottle.

Again he said “Take the sweets son!”

By this time, child’s mother heard their conversation and said, “Take the sweets son! don’t be shy.”

Yet child didn’t took any of the sweets.

Finally shopkeeper, on seeing the child not taking any sweets even on his mother’s insistence he, himself took the sweets and gave them to the child.

Child was immensely happy to get two hands full of sweets.

When they returned home mother asked child, “why didn’t you take the sweets, when shopkeeper offered them to you…?”

Can you guess the child’s response…?
Child replied,

“Mom! my hands are very small and if I had taken the sweets on my own, I could take very few. But now you see when uncle gave me sweets with his big hands, I got much more!”

Same is with life, when we choose and acquire from the world, we are limited by our mind’s desires and expectations. But when we pray to God to supply our wants the way he wishes and knows is best for us, he gives to us everything we could require and even way beyond our needs.

When we take / ask for we will get very little…But when God gives us by his own will, he gives us much more beyond our expectations. Even more than what we can hold. 🙂

Stay Blessed!
